EATING IN PROPER QUALITY
The proper quantity of food also depends upon the nature of food articles.
....If the food articles are heavy it is to be taken in less quantity in comparison to the light articles of food.
So, if you are going to have moong dal in your meals and you think, because it is light diet, you can take it in excessive in any amount.
That is to say, a light article can also be indigestible if taken in excessive quantity. Only your digestive power can tell you the right amount of food to be taken by you.
For a particular person it is usually advised that he can have light articles of food in greater amount and the heavy articles in lesser amount.
Food articles, which are just slightly heavy, are to be taken up to the extent of ¾ to of the stomach capacity.
Similarly, those which are heavier still, are to be taken in lesser quantity even the light articles, when are taken in larger quantity will hamper the process of digestion and metabolism as even a weapon which is made up of stone and it is even sharpened by stone, if is dashed against the stone in appropriately, it get blunted.
